When we receive your documents we will send them to the Ministry of the Attorney General to seal all the documents into one document and authenticate the signature of the notary/lawyer. When they are returned to us we will have them translated. Upon completion of the translation the documents will be sent to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for authentication of the signature of the Attorney General of B.C.

Canada has not signed the Hague convention on the legalization of documents which has necessitated sending all your documents to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Ottawa and to the Russian/Kazakh Consulate in Ottawa. If Canada had signed this part of the convention of the Hague we would only need one simple form at the provincial level called an Apostile.

The cost of legalization at the Russian Embassy is $100.00 a document.
The cost of legalization at the Kazakh Consulate is $84.00 a document.

You will send a money order or certified cheque to us made out to the Consular General of the Russian Federation or the Consulate of Kazakhstan.
When your documents are returned to us we will send them to the proper authorities in Russia or Kazakhstan.

Please Note:

Russia- You will have 4 document packages - 2 English and 2 Russian translations.

Kazakhstan requires 6 document packages (3 English - 3 Russian translation) plus 2 extra copies of the passports and marriage or birth certificate. If possible put your passports on one page as this will reduce the cost of legalization at the Kazakh Consulate.

Please note that the foreign courts are very particular about the paperwork they receive. Be sure that every document is notarized.
